Being a female artist from Chicago, the road hasn’t been easy. Singing my heart out, trying to write the best bars and melodies but still they don’t truly see me. God sees me and all the doors that didn’t open, all the times I stood in line to never get chosen. So many groups and different shows I been apart of, loving every moment of the creative  process . I love making music, the pure energy and truth that it holds. I have been blessed with many musical sisters,  building with them in time a foundation so strong! I have also touched hands with ones that come with a facade. Pretenders not knowing that God has given me discernment. I loved on people that didn’t show up for me but I know it’s all apart of a plan.Things happen for me, not to me. Every scar is a stepping stone to my highest aspiration. 
When I got fired from a long time job I put my dedication in, I  walked out the door feeling I lost my best friend, not knowing it was the gateway to write my most known song Looking for happiness! Moments like these make the lowest points all worth it. One day a lady walked up to me and said God told me to tell you he didn’t forget you. I needed to hear that because silently I thought he did,  I was working at a grocery store, not making much money pregnant with my second child and singing had taken a backseat. That day I was restored, I still hold on to that moment every time I'm faced with a new battle knowing that God is right there. I realize that every let down , heart break has led me to a great song!  I have experienced many times my name not being mentioned when they talk about creatives from Chicago. but none of that matters because tomorrow,  a beautiful strong Woman entrepreneur that is also a creative thought to acknowledge me and I hope she knows how much I appreciate her Mz Minah Media
